I am trying to get rid of several patches of Blue Clove Polps on Several different rocks. I was thinking of setting up a small tank and getting somnething that eats them. I could then put one rock in at a time untill they were all gone. Other suggestions I have received include Fluke tabs and a blow torch (Seems like a little overkill to me). Thoughts?

Wow I love blue clove polyps. Why is it that you do not like them are they over taking any other corals you have. I wish I lived by you I would take them all.

Blue cloves, especially the little ones spread like wildfire. If he has them on large rocks then itll be near impossible to get them out without screwing with ALL the rock in his tank. I would just use a toothbrush on spots you want cleared.

As for something that eats them: You'd be playing with fire, I never heard of any critter eating solely clove polyps :-) It would probably eat the clove polyps along with everything else.
