Sohal Tang Scar?

To add in new tang, I placed my Sohal tang in my sump. Some how he got sucked in the return pipe and now is badly cut but is still swimming around, if he lives do you guys think the wound will heal or will the scar be there forever?

He'll probibly be scarred, but he may heal.

I have a friend who used to work in a marine bio lab at my university, he said when fish got injured with open wounds they used to pull them and apply iodine directly to the cut with a fine paintbrush or q-tip. Apparently the iodine will help prevent infection and actually stick with the fish and does not dilute off.

Hi, I had a simliar problem and used Melafix. The fish survuved and the scar is almost invisible.
