Very nice. Road trip to Canada bus leaves in 10 min...Your thinking the same way I'm thinking bud.... let me put some plastic liners in my jacket pockets and lining on the way home for goodies.. LOL

Haahaa I have nothing to do with this... If you find a box on my doorstep.... filled with zoa's.... and happen to leave canadian currency in the mailbox.... must have been a coincidence.

are these zoo's under actinics is this its natural color??

Hello, it's been a while since I have posted on here so I figured I'd post a couple pictures and see if anyone had similar zoo's!

These are easy to identify, but by all means let me know if you don't agree!

Sunflower Blues: The blue outer edge shooting into the yellow really sets the yellow off!

Yellow Dwarf Star: These aren't just immature Variable Stars, they have a nice vibrant yellow disc with an alternating yellow/pink fringe.

My Tank is a 40 gallon breeder with 6 x T5's running off of an IC660. I tried to balance out the WB with Aperture, but I couldn't get all the blue out!

Cheers,
Scott

I have some of what you call a "Variable Stars" I bought mine as commonly called Mohawks? Wow I have to say either way they are sweet looking and am wondering if they are a Morph from the Mohawks. I can't tell if the fringe is the same as mine, mine are in a high flow area. The X-Men's look sweet! Where are you from in Canada? we should trade

Mohawks have green around the mouth where I come from.

I don't run actinic on my systems, I don't really see too much of a benefit to growth and coloration. I do have 3 Aquascience blues (15K) and 1 Aquascience 10K.

I don't want to start some big debate, but there are so many amazing zoo's out there and they sell for peanuts compared to the high end ones.... I don't get it. Don't get me wrong, I have bought some beauties in the day but I like to hunt my local fish store lately.

Does anyone else have eagle eyes that are the same/similar coloration as mine?

: outside : yellow, white, orange, black : inside :

I think it's safe to say that the orange on the x-mens is fluorescing in response to the blue spectrum from the T5's, but they aren't actinic. They look orange to the naked eye, but appear to be almost glowing in this picture.

This picture is of the main colony under straight 10K. Now they have morphed quite a bit since then and look pretty spot on to the first picture I posted of them.
