solar flare issue

I bought some new lights off of eBay in June, and by October the AC/DC adapter had burned out. Does anyone know where I can look for a replacement?

DEEP BLUE SOLAR FLARE DX AQUARIUM LIGHTING H.O. LED 48" HI TECH STRIP LIGHT

output is 24 volt, 4.7 amp

Thanks.

Any 24 volt power supply that produces at least the required amps. Matching the plug may be difficult but you can always splice the old one and connect with the new. Heat shrink butt connectors would be a good idea to protect the wire from the elements around a tank.

Having issues finding a 24 volt, but yes, that sounds like it would work. Would a universal charger or AC adapter that says it does from 15 to 24 volts work?

yes, but make sure it is rated for AT LEAST 4.7amps. The lights will only pull what they need, but the adapter needs to be able to provide at least that much power or it will kill itself trying to give too much to the lights.

There is one from Flytec and one from Mouser. Both companies are generally pretty good, cheaper than that and you get into straight from China adapters which can be hit or miss.
