anybody ever hear of this lighting system? seems sweet to me. equal lighting to a 400w mh 15k. 40% less evergy than that mh. LED's run for 50,000 hours (would you need to replace a bulb). it puts out 1/2 of the amount of heat than a MH. actinic blue LEDs, white LEDs, lunar actinic blue LEDs and lunar white LEDs can be adjusted from 6500k to 22000k. microprocesser can memic sunrise, daylight, cloud cover, sunset and the lunar cycle. i just don't know how much they will cost. if you have heard anything about this system, let me know. pros and cons please

thanks
mike

are they that high dollar? would it not come out the same after buying HM and VHO bulbs over and over and over? if you replace your MH every 6 months, roughy thats 1440 hours of use. so the led one would last about 17 years. would that be about $1,700 in HM bulbs in 17 years($50 every 6 months). i still have not found a price yet for I-4
thanks reefy1

WOW $4,000 just found a price for the 72"
71.5"L x 8.7"W x 3.65"H
600 watts used
3 power supplys
4 fans

would replace 3 MH 250w
thats $5,100 in MH bulbs over 17 years
also alot less heat, would you need a chiller or would fans work then?

OR is it late and im not thinking right?

I think that the concept is great but I think that they have flopped in the market.

I agree with Ade, I think though that this will eventually come back around to mainstream as they become more cost effective. If I was going to go all out on a tank I would probably buy one.

I wouldn't get one until I saw solid proof that they were succesful at growing sps' and gave them good color.
