The shimmer is there, I would say a bit less then MH. I would like wider modules of lights for future implementations on the lights to avoid the gaps at the surface and rear. I plan to put table tops in the tank so they can just grow towords the modules. They are guaranteed for 50,000 hours to be above 75% of a new light. So as long as PFO is in business I would likely get a new light. The real cool thing is the ability to change the spectrum at will by dimming the blue or white LED's. I am still playing around with programming on it, and should also play with the LUX meter at varying spectrums. Finally I can move my rock and corals in to the tank and do a final aquascape.
Not sure if you can tell Scott but the foam shrunk a bit and pulled from the sides about 1-2 inches. Did you have this issue?
The corals seem happy, in fact I moved a "wild" superman monti that turned white under MH lights and it is already coloring up after 1 day in the tank. I was super impressed and happy to see that.
