I really like anemones, and for whatever reason, I especially like the maxi minis that have only ONE color, edge to edge. If you have one, I'd love to see it. So far, I've only seen green and blue, and I immediately bought them both!

If you have one that is completely uniform in color please post a pic! And if you have one of a different color than mine, PM me if it splits. :D

mine isn't completely solid but it's only got a real thin green rim...still the finest true blue maxi i've seen.

I have one of the red "baby haddonis" that is no doubt a red mini-carpet (I bought it because it was a good deal in either case ;)) and a blue one like yours above. All the other are multi-colored. :)

That is one BIG pic! :) I have one like that too, I keep it in my 3G pico tank at work.

I got one of those red ones as well, for the same reason. Mine split into three after I'd had it for about 3 months. Very cool but never gets over 2.5 inches. Some day I hope to find a maxi mini with that coloring.

The only solid colored one I have is blue like yours. I love some mini carpets. I wish I could keep sexy shrimp with mine, they're so cool.

I have a hard time getting the true color with a camera, it usually blends in with the sand or the color looks 'dirty', but this is a pretty good shot of my yellow-

It's a vivid canary yellow and the foot/mouth are bright pastel pink; when I first got it I kept feeling like I'd stuck an Easter egg in the tank!

Fishnutty, how long have you had that one? I've never seen one that bright that kept it's color for more than a few months.

Two months, and the picture was taken tonight. It was a bit smaller than my other two when I got it, but it has grown, and so far the color has stayed the same. It is not as vigorous an eater as the two multi-color maxis, though. The other two will close around the food within seconds, the solid yellow takes up to a minute plus, and doesn't like as much quantity; in fact, the first mysis feeding I gave it was expelled back out, but it hasn't happened again.

i didn't realize the blue one i have is so common. we get the bottom of the barrel as far as coral goes here in ohio.

I meant no offense. The blue ones are not very common, I wouldn't have one if they were. I put it in the 3g at work because in a small tank I can appreciate the patterns and details. In my home tank, which is a 7-foot 210g tank, details like a 1/4 inch green trim can make it less attractive IMO because the patterns and details blend as you stand back to take it all in. This is just my opinion, and I'm sure many people will disagree.

no offense taken bradleym- but really though i have a very nice collection for my area. a lot of things that most people in the part of the country have never seen. but it's still nothing compared to the west coast. the things i spend years trying to find here (from hobbyists and such because lfs generally have nothing greater than gsp and green shrooms) are just around the corner for many.
