I have 2 brand new ai sol blues but now I'm thinking about these hydras Does anyone recommend one over the other. Ill have only a few sps and mostly soft and Lps corals in a 48x24 tank
Thanks

Tank is 24in deep. I just trying to figure it out before I open the Sols.

The hydras are more of a full spectrum light, the SOLs are only white and blue unless you have the AI blues then you have 3 colors. Full spectrum is better, but the SOLs will certainly work well to 30 in depth especially if you have softies and lps on the bottom.

Yea I have sol blues. So sounds like the hydras are a better choice and with the wider lenses I can have the fixture a little lower in the tank

If you can get the Hydras and get credit for the blues its a no brainer. Ive had blues for a long time and they worked very well. I recently added two full spectrum led lights to the tank and things look even better.

You can upgrade to Vega's - they come with frosted lenses and violet LEDs, and you'd save 200/fixture. Upgrade was fairly easy.
