Some baby photos - Bicinctus and Onyx clowns

Hi there, I thought I'd share some photos of some recent happenings...The first one is of an Onyx batch, about 4 months in I believe. Parents are WC PNG male and WC SI female. Babies are showing some signs of black now! Second stripes are filling in as well. This batch I believe had about 60-70 survivors (first batch).

Here are some photos of a first batch of Bicinctus babies, parents both Red Sea WC. First batch only realized 6 babies...the second batch at 15, so hopefully things will progress from there. They are slightly younger than the first batch of Onyx above, but are bigger in size.

Hi Jordan. In my opinion, any type of "marine" flakes will work, although I'm sure there will be differing successes.

I do pulverize, as best you can, as tiny as you can. I normally start with Formula 1 flakes. However, I have been mixing flakes now. I use Formula 1 flakes with OSI Spirulina flakes. All crushed and pulverized.

I have also tried Formula Prime Reef an OSI Spirulina combo, which work well as well. Now, I just use what I have. Plain pulverized of either of the three seem to work for me.

CyclopEeze I use sparingly as a treat.

I have a batch of percs that are about 3 months old. I was about to post a question about when they start to get their second stripe (some of mine are just starting). You just answered my question. I thought maybe mine were slow. Those percs sure develop slower than the ocellaris or sandaracinos I've raised before.

Ocellaris are the quickest from what I've heard...percula are one of the slowest. That's why ocellaris is many times more desired by breeders, specifically due to time frame and ease of sale...

Just an update on Bicinctus batch : 5 survivors from the 1st. 15 from the 2nd, and a third on its way, at about 40-50 so far. Improving, but I still need them to lay on a removable...object.

This is the original 5.
