Some click to my reef…

holy moley! I dont know what is more impressive, your tank or your photography skills!
Very nice, i can only hope my tank looks as good as yours!
You have such a wide variety of corals, are they readily available in italy or do you order online somewhere?
Again nice job!!

Thank you everybody for the beautiful words! :wavehand:

@ s_kelley: as concerns the shops in my area I must say I am quite lucky in my town there is a well provided shop which sells mainly online, and Turin and Milan are quite near and also there one may find interesting shops.
Even though I have these nice shops nearby, it is not always easy to find particular animals such as gorgonian or NPS. On the contrary SPS are quite easy to get.

Show by night...

Just went through the whole thread Luca...absolutely stunning!!! Just tonight I have begun researching NPS corals and what they require. Seeing your tank has made me think of some ideas for setting up one of the empty small tanks that I have laying around.

In your opinion, do you think a successful NPS aquarium could be maintained in say a 10g or 20g tank?

Thx for your Thread and thx for the wonderful pics!

Hi,
sorry if I was late in answering you but I was very busy at work and in fighting against hot and very humid weather of the past few days.
Thank you for the nice words about my tank.
As concerns your question I think it would be possible to set a small tank with NPS corals only you must be very careful (being a small tank) with every value and with feeding at the beginning. Probably it would be better to start with animals which are not so requiring and then when you see some results either continue that way or adjust things which you think should be adjusted.
:lol2: One little news with my tank, after some time I was able to find the Rhyzotrochus I was looking for. I'm looking after it like a baby... in short you will see some clicks of it.
Ciao! :wavehand:

Amazing Luca! Thanks for making my evening. Can you take a picture of and tell me about the candelabra type gorg on the upper left side of your tank....I want one!

No further to the left. Right under your magnet. You really only feed once a week? Dang your tank looks good.

It looks like a Ctenocella Pectinata. If so how and where did you get it? IMO it is the most beautiful of all the gorgs.

No, as I have already mentioned in one past post every day I feed the corals when lights are off with Korallen-Zucht Amino Acid LPS, Coral Vitalizer and 100 ml of living Phytoplancton (50 ml Nannochloropsis "“ 50 ml Tetraselmis). While once a week I give them either Elos SVC or a phial of Prodibio Reef Booster or NutraPlus Complete Feed; Energy FD Cyclops, Brightwell Zooplanktos and PhytoPlex. When I can I feed them with live food (Artemia and Rotiferi). Of course with more corals I increased a bit the quantities.

Yes you're right it's a Ctenocella Pectinata (I also posted a picture of it some time before). I got it in a shop in Turin. It is in truth very beautiful especially when it is all opened up. It is not the easiest to keep. Even if it is so beautiful it isn't the one I prefer.

hello luca

amazing, your tank's NP's

great colors, great animals and great pic's

Thanks for your words!
I'm going to answer here to the questions you asked me on RI:
I don't prepare anything by myself but I just use the products I mentioned in other posts. The quantity is just what I mentioned.
I don't use any machine to feed the corals, but I take care of them as if they were my little babies.
PO are kept under control with water changes and they are not a problem in my tank.

Well if you tire of the upkeep just bag it up and send it my way. I have always had a thing for that species. I suspect just plain impossible to get here in the States. Although we are seeing more Western Australian imports.

grazie per le risposte
Anch'io preferisco i coralli sguardo come se fossero i miei bambini e gli additivi alimentari in un "manuale".
