Some click to my reef…

What salt brand are you using?

Usually I use Red Sea Coral Pro-Salt that I consider the best, because it is less aggressive and rich in Calcium and Magnesium. But I use also other brands such as Tropic Marin Bio Actif, Hw Marinemix Professional, Reef Crystals, so that what is missing in one brand can be present in another. When I first prepared the water for the tank I used three different brands of salt: 50% Red Sea Coral Pro-Salt, 25% Tropic Marin Bio Actif, 25% Reef Crystals.

Are you keeping a blueberry gorgonian? how long and how?
I think you are talking of the Menella. It has been in the tank since December. It is an azoox so it needs to be fed otherwise it dies (for the food see some previous post).

Thanks! :)

The digital reflex camera is Canon EOS 40D/7D, depending on the pictures I use different lenses. For the last pictures I used: Canon EF 50mm f1.4 USM - Canon EF 85mm f1.8 USM - Canon EF 100mm f2.8L Macro IS USM.

So you use both a 40D and a 7D to take pictures?

As concerns food every day I feed the corals when lights are off with Korallen-Zucht Amino Acid LPS, Coral Vitalizer and 100 ml of living Phytoplancton (50 ml Nannochloropsis – 50 ml Tetraselmis). While once a week I give them either Elos SVC or a phial of Prodibio Reef Booster or NutraPlus Complete Feed; Energy FD Cyclops, Kent Zooplex and PhytoPlex. When I can I feed them with live food (Artemia and Rotiferi). The quantities of food are those suggested by the producers, which could vary depending on the tank conditions.
I don’t use any calcium reactor. I add once a week calcium and magnesium depending on the test answers. But more or less the quantity is the same each week. So by now I am able to dose the right quantity. I use Grotech products that I consider pretty good. I use Kalkwasser reactor.
I don’t use phosphatremovers because in my experience they are not good for the animals I breed. I try to keep values under control with water changes.
I use activated carbon in my sump constantly. I change it once every month. I use Elos carbon, but also Oceanlife and Forwater.

Thank you!
This is the most beautiful aquarium of all he saw.

Incredible tank. What do you feed the Copperband Butterfly and do they nip your corals.

Thanks for your compliments.
It eats what it finds around the rocks, it never accepted any other kind of food.
In the last tank I had one that I had to give away, because it ate everything (Misys, Artemia, ecc.) and after a while it started bothering lps and putting its rostrum inside the mouth of the lps. Probably he understood that there was food inside, so he tried to steal it.
