Hi folks,

I just bought my first SPS for my new tank at the Manhattan Frag Swap today. I have next to no experience with SPS corals and I'm looking for advice, particularly on placement for light and flow.

All of these are ORA so I figure there will be people with experience growing these specific corals. I run Aquaillumination Sol Blues 6.5" over the water surface at 80/95/95 for %white/blue/royalblue. So bright!

The coral list is:

Hawkins Echinata
Plum Crazy
Red Planet
Phil's Granulosa
Supernatural Cap

I assume all 5 with grow well in high light/high flow? But I just want to confirm that this is best for growth and coloration.

Thanks!

Start them low, those aqua illuminations put out some serious PAR, but are very focused. I surprised you don't run em higher of the water. Red planet is a "medium" light coral if you want it to look like what it's "supposed" to.
