Some concerns with my Blue Hippo Tang.

I have just recently purchase a hippo tang along with a powder blue and yellow.

They are all getting along great in tank.

I skipped QTing them which was a dumb mistake, but my current tank that they were just put in a few days ago (65 gal) is being taken down in less than 4 weeks. I just couldn't bare staring at my tank with no fish it any longer :(

I know tangs need at least 6 ft of swimming space, which is why they are only going to be in my 65gal for only 4 weeks max. I have a 240 gallon 96x24x24 (300 with sumps) in wall build that I am doing downstairs.

With that being said, the tangs are getting along fine and are eating like mad. They eat mysis shrimp, they eat nori, and dried julian sprung seaweed. I also feed them the occasional live macro algae treat (I have both tang heaven red, yellow, and ulva).

While they are eating fine, the blue hippo seems a bit scared. He comes out and eats and hides back in his cave. It may be because he is smaller than the others, and I know powders can get aggressive, but they are all very nice towards each other and dont nip at one another.

With the hippo I have noticed ever since I got him that he has black spots/lines on his face. I am not sure if this is the hole in head, or something else. As you can see by his full belly he eats like a truck, but these just struck me as odd.

If it turns out to be that, I am going to turn my 65 gal into a QT and move all my rock/coral to the 240.

I am also now noticing a line under his eye, and I am unsure what that is. To best see the "lines" in his head, look at the picture where he is facing you head on, and you can see them.
