Barrier net is a very effective way of catching fish.
That said, I'm kind of surprised why they are collecting such big full grown specimens.
Perhaps for research? Surely not for resale into the marine aquarium market?

These full grown fish are breeding stock.
Taking them out really reduces the overall population if one takes into acount their potential for reproduction.
