I was/still am having some problems with the growth and colour of my sps..
I had been using some tap water to top off, had a temporary skimmer on there, and i was running a 150 hqi coralife MH/PH setup.
So for the past couple weeks, i have only been using RO water, i upgraded the skimmer to a ERES5-3, and have a 250 halide setup w/lumenarc ready to put on there.
Is there reasons that certain corals look bad?
I have a rainbow milli that is coloring up better then it was when i bought it, bright blue branches even bluer tips and then a bright green body.
On the other hand i have a couple caps that are loosing color and not looking so good.
Will the lighting and start adding randys 2part changed everything.
I rearranged my rockwork and 2*sieo 820 so the flow is looking good now.
I guess after all that, is htere reasons why say a millipora will look better then ever, but a montipora will look not so good?
I am also thinking about adding a phoban reactor
