Some help me whos used aquastik!!

Hi all! Im having a bugger of a time here with my skimmer.

After a frag swap yesterday I mounted my new frogspawn on a shell with aquastik from two little fishes.

It says to let the skimmer stay off for 24 hours due to excessive foam/bubbles...

but this is crazy. Its been about 28 hours and my skimmer freaks out when i turn it on

any advice? how long did you have to run skimmerless?

What type of skimmer do you have? If you have a needlewheel type skimmer, cut down on the amount of air entering the skimmer or reduce the water level. It will settle itself down eventually.

corallife superskimmer 50. I turned the red dial down to zero. I dident think to turn the grey one indside the tank!

/dont use aquasticks then, go to home depot and pickup AQUAMEND. it is about $3 for a 3-4" stick, and dosent mess with the skimmer...
