Some help with Loc line...

Hey guys,
I want to get some loc line for the return on my new system, But i'm having a few problems figuring out what i need.
I'm going with plain hard PVC not with the threads.
Does this sound right?
1; 1" PVC to 1" FNPT - $0.80 ea
1; 1" MNPT reduced to 1/2" FNPT - $2.00 ea
1; Loc-Line 1/2" System Segment Pack (2) Segments each 5 3/4"
1;Loc-Line Y Fitting Y fitting for the 1/2" system splits single line into 2 lines.
2;Loc-Line 2 1/2" Flare Nozzle

Is that right?

Hmm good idea :)
My plan is to run my return 1" PVC up to my canopy then once it's inside my canopy it's loc line that runs into the tank. I just don't know all the parts i need... Hope that helps...

Thanks,

Nick

You need to reduce the 1" PVC to either 1/2 or 3/4 (depending on what size loc line you want). Then put a female adapter on the end. Then get a loc line male adapter, then a foot or so of loc line, then whatever nozzle you want (you can get the one that flares out or the standard one).

Pretty much looks like what you have works. You need the male loc line piece that goes into the female PVC.

Ok, Glad i asked!
One other question where is the cheapest place to find loc line? I have been looking on modularhose.com is there anywhere cheaper? Everything is like two or four packs...

I'd personally prefer to have all the locline underwater. Use 90deg PVC fittings to get you inside the tank then go to locline once underwater. Locline above water usually equates to a TON of salt creep b/c the locline segments are not water tight.
