So I have a 4" hammer, frogspawn, and torch coming in Friday.

I have some revive dip. I've read from some old posting that dipping hammers is unnecessary? What about torch and frogspawn?

This is going in a 24x18x18 tank, mp10, and 150w 20K MH(XM bulb), and Aquaclear HOB. no sump/skimmer.

I/O salt, 1.026. No fish in the nano yet. Barebottom, about 20lbs rock(10 from a buddys old reef tank).

These are my first corals, any suggestions? I'm coming from a FOWLR background.

Sounds like a cool tank. Make sure to keep the torch further away from the others though as it's more aggressive and can sting the others. What else do you have in mind coral-wise?

I would be careful dipping any Phyllia they travel poorly and are al most always completely stressed upon arrival if possible I would place them (in a QT or quiet area of your DT) with minimum lighting for a day or three and see how they do before placing them in a more stressful situation, or trying to place them for flow and lighting requirements.

also a visual check for red bugs is a good idea

Thanks for the feedback guys. The corals came in from DD today. Acclimated and dipped them with revive. Here are some pics 5hrs later. Maybe the hammer and frogspawn will inflate a little more with time like whats shown on the DD pic.

I still have a lot of cleaning up to do. These are really the first corals I have ever purchased being in this hobby as all I ever bought was fish.

I'll try to add some more easy to keep corals. Perhaps a Colt, leather, Flower Pot, birdnest, bubble coral... any suggestions here? I will have to think more about fish as I really never kept small fish.

Question about lighting. 150w MH 20K, 6inch from the waterline and the tank is 18" tall. What kind of lighting period do you guys think?

Thanks!

heres a clip of my FOWLR.

Also, do I need to feed them? I have some frozen brine, frozen and dry cyclospeeze. I see other stuff in bottle form for sale.

I keep seeing this on LA.
It will benefit from additional food fed weekly in the form of micro-plankton or brine shrimp.
