Some macro shots

You say you took the pics without a flash with a D70, however my flash seems to always open when I try and take shots with my d70.

Did you mean you dont use an external flash, or do you set it in a manner that the flash doesnt work.

I really need to take a look at my manual again, add it to the list of a million and one things to do.

Put your camera on manual mode and it won't pop up

Yea, thank you guys. I forgot all about that. Its been almost a year and a half since I last really used the camera (been a busy year for me).

Seeing theese shots, man I need to get a better macro lens and start playing around again.

Very nice work indeed.

You are welcome and thank you :)

With my macro lens not only do I shoot aquarium life but also insects, birds, animals, and they are also good for doing portraits. You can do alot with them.

wow those pics are amazing! every pic I ever took looks like crap! in my last batch I only really liked one alot

HOW is the big question here....lense/F-stop ISO yadda yadda....share!!!
beautiful!!!

I looked at the metadata and the lens used was a 105mm
the F-stop changes on each image but ranges from 4.5 to 16 of some shutter speeds range from 1/160 to 1/6 respectively

Camera was set on auto white balance for most and fine weather on a couple

For most of the images camera was set on auto exposure but a couple taken on manual.

Jorgens thank you for the comment :)

The lens that I use is the Sigma Ex 105mm macro lens.

My F-stop varies from picture to picture from 2.8 to 16 and shutter speed as well, as mentioned above. I usually keep my ISO set at 200. In the beginning I had my camera set to aperture priority, now I shoot in manual mode.
