Well here he is!!!

I'm definitely taking a risk and putting him into the main tank... but I plan on doing hypo and prazipro almost immediately.

I'm hoping the emperor isnt too much of a terror, he might be getting a time out :)

It's a 7.25" scribbled off Diver's Den. I like their service so much and their fish seem so healthy all the time, I went ahead and got it off there instead of local or another vendor.

Definitely bigger than the Emperor, who was shipped to me as being a 8" fish :P I'm thinking the emperor is more around 6.5".

Me too... I just put him in the tank and the emperor is definitely not a fan. He nipped his tail a little bit, no marks or anything and grunted a little bit. He didnt do any damage and now he is leaving him alone. The scribbled is pretty much just sitting in one place and not moving besides the basic movements to stay in one place against current.

All in all, it wasnt a bad first meeting between angels. As soon as the scribbled gets a little more settled in, that is probably when the action is going to start...

Sweet fish! If he isn't moving much, now is the time to get a good pic of him! Are you adding the GF and tang today as well? That achilles is going to be all over that tank! Your going to have a pretty bright looking tank now! Can't wait to see updated pics and hear how they are all doing!

Well he is hiding in the rocks, I cant get a good picture ;) All I can see is his tail, basically.

The goldflake is already in the sump. I thought the achilles was covered in ich, so I wasnt going to QT the goldflake with him.

But yes, I did move the achilles today into the DT, I acclimated him in a bucket besides the scribbled. Let's hope I'm not causing the mother of all ich infestations.

I'll be starting prazipro treatment as soon as I get it in. I'm still undecided as to when I am going to do hypo, I may not do it at all if the achilles stays looking good for weeks. If he starts getting much more ich showing up though, I'll drop the salinity quick.

omg I officially hate you....
(that's the jealousy talking)

I didn't think I'd get over the loss of your picasso so quickly lol. Seriously though, this tank keeps getting better and that scribbled angel is freakin amazing.

I'm a little bummed about the humu still, to be honest. Same with the clown trigger. They were great fish, lots of personality.

I think in the end I'll be happier with this mix of fish, plus lately all the fish I've gotten in have been gorgeous so that helps a lot!

Dont be a hater :)

That is one beautiful scribble! I hope everything between the emp and scribble works out.
I do too. That is going to be an interesting relationship, I'm sure, and it will probably result in a time out to the QT tank for the emperor, but who knows, hopefully they co-exist decently.

you pick out some nice looking fish Recty thats for sure would love to have a scribble. think i will start doing some research on that fish for my tank.

I wonder if LA still gives a 14 day guarantee when you put their fish in a tank with fish known to have ich? Just wondering?

I think 99% of all hobbyists tanks have ich in them, most of the time you just dont see it on a regular basis.

It probably comes down to the hobbyist. If my fish died of ich, I wouldnt hold LA to the warranty because it came in nice and clean looking. However, if it had ich when it arrived and then later died in my tank, I would certainly hold them to it.

I'd say the trade was worth it, and it will change the whole dynamic of your tank. It will be interesting to see how it all plays out.

Well, the scribbled still hides, this is the best picture I could get of him...

I dunno, what do you guys think, does my achilles have ich?

Holy crap that really seemed to take off. That sucks-I'll be pulling for him.

On the bright side your scribbled has a nice tail :).

Are achilles and powder blues that much different in sensitivity? I'd copperpower that fish. Before that **** has a chance to jump off and multiply. Got to figure, that fish went up about 20 degrees in the past day or so? We have too in northern california, it sucks! It should be able to beat the ich, just gotta work quick.

I know my main tank has ich already, I only treated my emperor and dussu for 4 days when they had ich and I was having bad ammonia problems in the QT tanks so I went ahead and just placed the fish into the DT. The emperor gets ich on his eyeball once a week or so, just a dot or two, but I know it's present in the main tank.

Anyway, I put the achilles in the main tank today and I'm going to hypo the whole thing. It will hopefully kill off the ich I have in the DT, I was going to hypo anyway "sometime" in the future, this just made me get it done now.

I think I have very little free swimming ich in the tank and I use ozone there which I believe helps kill off free swimmers, plus I have a lot more aggressive flow in the tank than I can in my QT. All in all, I really think the achilles stands a better chance of surviving hypo in the main tank than he does Cupramine in a quarantine setup.

Hopefully I made the right choice! I feel a little like I put my other fish at risk, but at the same time there was ich in the system already so it's not really a big deal.

My qt just for all to read is a 10 gallon with a $9 HOB filter from walmart, a $10 heater from walmart and about 5 lbs of live rock that goes through the copper treatment. Oh, and a clamp on home depot light. All in a 10 gallon tank. Never an ammonia spike, steady ph, and fits under the stand so I keep it 24/7. I never likes hypo because it didn't seem to work right and made my fish bloated. Sounds like you know more than I. That achilles looks pretty thick so it stands a very good chance I'd think. Hey, sent a pm too.

Oh, and with the emp and ich on the eyes, mine did that too for about a month until I got the cleaner shrimp (main reason) and the emp would sleep near the shrimp. Haven't seen it since. I remember that someone said cleaner shrimp don't eat ich, but the **** was gone within a week of adding one.
