Some new fish...

I took a picture of them but they are sooooo white and the water was a little cloudy from the bottom being stirred up that it really didnt turn out well. I'll take one today after work and stick it up.

My latest fish should arrive in about 2 hours, the tank will be dark and need to be dark for a couple hours after that, but I definitely should be able to get a picture tonight.

So I'm doing something different today... rather than QT, I'm diong a formalin laced freshwater dip. I've done this before and had good results but then went to using the QT method instead. For this time though, it only makes sense to place directly into my display so I'm going to try out freshwater dips again as a preventative.

I'm also planning on treating the main tank again with copper later on down the road, now that I know I can do it easily, so I'm not tooooooo worried about disease although in the past with my 75g when I formalin freshwater dipped my fish, I never had a single ich outbreak or velvet or flukes or anything, so I was either incredibly lucky or it actually worked.

I feel the same way now. I can ID the problem and treat it quicker.

So, what's the new fish? Crosshatch? I know you'll get one of those sooner or later.

Yeah, I have 7 bottles of cupramine stocked underneath my tank in my stand now :) I'm ready for treatment if needed and I've got one of the 250ml containers of cuprisorb too, so I'm ready for that should the need arrive.

The new fish? I'll give you a hint, the box weighs 26 pounds according to FedEx.

so it is the crosshatch then? Just coming back from Jenny Craig, LOL. How much did it weigh when it started Jenny?

Not a crosshatch...

Here is the requested picture of the tank with the new corals... I have the lights out in the room except one kitchen light way off to the left, so it's grainy, but you get the idea.

And then here is my floating fish...

Nope, but I really thought about getting anthias, my main concern is getting them enough food, there are weekends I'm away from the house the entire weekend and basically only feed Friday night then Sunday night, so I dont think anthias are up my alley. Although I did ask on the Reef Fish forums and quite a few people are able to get their anthias to eat the 1mm pellets, so with the use of an automated feeder I probably could have done it.

a huge harem of flame angels?

probably not but it would be awesome
Mmmm, kind of close... 5 of the 9 bags are flame angels.

Unfortunately, I ordered one 3" one and 4 2" ones, and they are all basically the same size, there is one that is slighty bigger but not the inch bigger I was hoping for... they are a good size for being hardy and acclimating better, but I wish 4 of them were just a little bit smaller.

Thanks, I really really like the queen. I waited 3 months for her :) It was worth it, I think.

And then here are the contents of the other bags... I've been wanting a small "school" of convict tangs for a while, so since everything was on good sale and if you spend more than $225 with Blue Zoo you get free shipping, it basically was about $10 a tang :) So I went ahead and did it.

Like McDonald's up in this b, I'm Lovin' It!
I'm excited too, but the sizes are definitely not optimal for forming a harem... I'm a little worried I might just have a lot of fighting.
