Nah, keep the faith....It will work out. You have a lot of rocks and stuff to keep them busy.
Yeah, true. Of course, 4 males and one female flame angel still wont be a good thing, even with tons of hiding places ;)

I might end up catching some out, but I'll give them some months to figure things out, only reason I'd remove a fish is if it is getting beat on.

Very nice new fish! I can't wait to see them in the aquarium!
I took a couple FTS just now, last three with a flash.

One of the angels is hanging out on the right side of the tank where the majestic is in the last picture... the other 4 are hanging out on the left side of the tank in the big rock pile.

Yes, the tangs are sticking together which is exactly what I was hoping for.

Wow, cool new arrivals! So what is your stock list like now? Emperor angel, queen angel, blueface angel, majestic angel, 5 flame angels, duss tang, 4 convict tangs and the bfly? Time for an upgrade!!! Like the new rock too, I think you should make some pillars to get the fish some more room since your pretty well stocked now. Also, no QT? Hope you don't get any more diseases in your tank. That is a lot of fish to be adding at once, hope everything works out and fighting is minimal! Keep us updated! Goodluck with all the new arrivals!

Yep, that is my stock list minus the raccoon. He never recovered after the copper treatment, just died the other night. I had him back in QT and was trying to get him to eat, but he never ate again after I started treating with copper. I've heard bad things about butterflies and copper but it had to be done. Too bad, I liked him. Although butterflies almost never eat pellets and now I have all fish that will eat only pellets if they have to, so I could go on vacation with a automatic feeder and still be OK.

I dont need to ugprade yet ;) 9 of the fish in there are pretty small. I will eventually upgrade, yes.

I dont think the pillars are a good idea in this respect... I have a lot of little fish I want to be able to dodge in and out of a rock pile and get lots of cover, not have to do circles around a bunch of pillars. They really seem to like the rock too, even after just seeing them in the tank for 20 minutes, I can honestly say it's one of the coolest things I've seen in my tank, watching a bunch of little angels dipping in and out of the rocks :)

I wish you luck. I would be scared to add 9 fish to my tank at one time. I'm sure it's somewhere in this thread, but what skimmer are you running?

Just an AquaC EV-240... nothing insane. I do use ozone which I think helps and these are 9 small fish plus I have a lot of LR and I do 10-15% water changes weekly. I'm not worried about bioload at this point, although down the road it might be an issue but I'll upgrade at that time!

I dont think it's overstocked at all at this point, it's just full. Yeah, it's a 210.

My thinking on it is this... I dont really have a clean up crew so a lot of times the little bits of meat and especially nori just blow all over the tank for hours until they get filtered out. I'm really hoping the smaller tangs and the even smaller angels will pick that stuff out of the water column. Sure, they will poop it out again later, but at least it isnt just free floating organics that eventually get caught in the filter and dissolve into ammonia.

I've already watched one of the flames and one of the tangs picking little bits of the nori I fed out of the water, so hopefully my theory is sound.

If I was you i get a nice large cone skimmer .
All the $ you spend it is all worth it very nice selection beautiful fish you have .
Now sit back and enjoy .........Did i tell you I'm moving to Alaska ?
I'm going to steal that beautiful Queen from you..... when i get there ;)
I wish I can afford all this fish down here in south jersey

GOOD LUCK.

Heh, I am looking into cone skimmers already, I have been for a month or two now. I actually want to redo most of my sump as the current setup just really doesnt let me grow macroalgae well. I used to do it in there but it was a pain and just really not working well.

Come on up to Alaska, it's great. In the summer...

Well I wanted to say I am not putting any more fish in the tank, but I guess I am putting in one more, I've liked these for a while and never put one in because the large ones are just too much and I dont want any more large angels to start... so when the juvi popped up I went ahead and got it.

Comes in Friday and then I'm DONE ADDING FISH.

Love the school of Convicts Recty. Damn, you've been a busy fishkeeper.

Recty, do you know anything about lens for the Rebel XTI? If so can I PM you a question?

i Made a new sump this year i had the same problem my setup just really never did let me grow macroalgae well i think it was my large skimmer i 'm using Deltec 902.
I made me a new 75 gallon sump and it work out excellent.
I like to get me a nice Queen angel but i think is going to eat all my corals .
Did you see my new tank picture not as good as your pictures but is only a $150 camera .

That looks great man.

I really should redo my sump, but I've pretty much blown my load on fish right now, I'm going to save up some so I can afford a high quality skimmer and then I'll think about how I'm going to redo that sump. I basically want it to be longer than it is now so I can fit another compartment in.

I know all about lenses for any of the Canon SLRs, XTI included ;) Ask away. I'm going to be away from my keyboard for an hour or two though.

Dang Recty, you're going for the gold!

Zoom, that is a very pretty tank....very nice. I'll give you my queen angel for your coraline and orange things...

No comments about the Clown Trigger in the reef ?
I Love Fish....But the wife like corals :( so i try to compromise with here we been together for 38 years i think i have to don't you think.
Thank you danorth that Yellow tang is 17 years old.
Sorry about my bad English.

Well the fish are doing good. The tangs arent at all scared of me and the flame angels dont appear to be, but it's hard to tell since the spend most of their time moving in and out of the rocks.

Just a couple more full tank shots ;) I enjoy taking pictures of new fish.
