He is about 7.5" - 8", somewhere in there. Fatter than he looks too :)

Recty,
I think the new branchy things you put in the tank looks very nice, alat more reef topic look like to your tank i like it alat.
They will look more natural in time to.

danorth... What clam? it is no clam in the tank ,the clown will eat any clam in the tank in no time .
I don't have any experience with queen angel in a reef but I'm jealous from Recty's queen Angel i like to put one in my reef you guys ever had one with LPS or soft corals ?.
I had a Emperor in my reef for seven years but i had no LPS or soft corals in there the Emperor Angel ate them all.

It looks great. I think my emp is about 7-7.5", that extra inch really makes it taller looking.

Zoom, I suck at knowing my coral stuff, that thing on the left on the ground looks like a clam to me, but I guess not now that you say it isn't.

I had a blue line trig with a clam for about 2 weeks, but the dumb wrasse kept flipping it over prompting the trigger to attack it. Otherwise it didn't. I have a pic of them together on another computer, I'll find it and put it on my thread later.

So Recty, give another look at those flames tomorrow and let me know how they seem to be doing....really hope it all works out. Tank looks great.

Holy tank makeover. It looks completely different. Not just from the trigger era, but from yesterday! I like the wide flat shaped pieces of coral. It gives you more options than just having chunks of rocks. My wife wants me to get a flame. I showed her the picture of your new ones. She didn't like the Convicts at all, but she liked how they looked in your tank. They make the other fish stand out more. Lookin' good.

Comes in Friday and then I'm DONE ADDING FISH.

Famous last words. :D

I agree, it makes a big difference having not just round rocks sitting around in a pile.

Believe me, I'll look at the flames more tomorrow ;)

The emperor is tall looking, he is a nice fat fish too, all great healthy looking except the face with the HLLE.

Glad she liked the fish... here are a couple more pictures if you want to show her more.

It is crazy how much the tank has changed, is it? It needed it though, I was tired of the rock work.

It's looking really good. The new aquascape makes the fish look small. Your queen makes me miss mine and I've loved the blueface angels for awhile. Your making me rethink my fish list with these photos. Keep them coming.

Oh, reminds me, I got a call that my ventunus angel showed up, or how ever you spell it. Said it was 2 - 2.5"......so I got down there and it was a 1" pygmy angel. I said, "Hey, that is supposed to be 2.5"?" and he says yes, I said, well ****, in that case my peter must be over a foot then!

Oh well, next week my fish should be in.

Cool, I've never seen a Venustus in real life, they are good looking in pictures though.

I'm adding my lemonpeel to the display tonight once the lights go off, I figure it's now or never, once those flame angels all get established he would have a pretty rough time fitting in, I think. He already is probably not going to be exactly welcomed with open arms.

Ever been to 6th Ave? Fish store that does wholesale to the public on Sunday mornings.....clown triggers for $13....humu's for $9. Yeah, I've lived it.

Yeah, tonight at night fall will be the best time for that one....it shouldn't be an issue, too many new fish going on to worry about one more.
