Some new fish...

Fish look great....there shouldn't be any issue between those two little guys. Regarding the cleaner wrasse, I have had one and it would eat shredded shrimp but still only lasted a few weeks. It ended up dead in a rock. Not sure what the long term trick is with those guys. Glad to hear the queen is doing better, maybe it was just having an off day.

Nice Fish.

I hope they all do well for you.

What is the temp. like outside right now?

~Michael
It's 54 here right now, it's been getting down to 45-50 at night. Definitely we've gone from summer to fall.

I hope the fish do well too. I planned on keeping them in their own separate tank for a while, but I was thinking more like 2-3 months as they grew up and got really well established, but this little personifer is so much smaller than what I planned, he probably wont be ready for the big tank for a long time.

I wish I lived in Alaska. Actually I think that I am part Snow Man. ;)

I get hot when it gets over 65.

It is 92 here right now :(

I am sure that you will be glad the angels are small. You will get to watch them get big. (grammar)

I cant wait for more pictures.

I dont think the queen is out of the woods yet. She looks a little better and is swimming instead of laying on the rocks, but she still doesnt look great. I sure hope she makes it, it's weird how fast she went down.

This cleaner wrasse is cool, I just put him in the tank and he just went right over to the emperor and started cleaning. I think he scared the angel though, he grunted after a couple seconds and swished away. But now he keeps coming over to the wrasse and wanting cleaned but the wrasse wont do it, he is just exploring.

The dussu is freaking, he does not like the wrasse.

I think if I ever put the regal or the scribbled in my display, I'd have to trade the dussumieri into the LFS with the 600g display, I really doubt he will let a couple more angels into the tank with him if he objects to just a tiny little wrasse.

I was actually planning on setting up a different tank just for corals and putting the regal and scribbled in there anyway, so this might just make me do it :)

Yeah, I dont know how people stand the hot climates. I mean I really enjoy Hawaii, but it's because I'm on vacation and I'm planning on sweating nonstop and just wearing short everywhere. I dont think I'd want to live there. I stayed there for 3 months once and decided it just wasnt my thing and came back to Alaska.

You said on another thread your house stays 77 right? I'd be dying ;) My house sits between 67-70 and when it gets above 70, I get too hot.

I'm glad the regal is small, 2.5-3" is exactly what I wanted. I'm just a little miffed the personifer is so small, I wanted one more around 3", not 1.5-2". Oh well, cant exactly send them back.

Nope, My house is 65 in the summer
and 58 (downstairs) in the winter. Upstairs is not heated, and drops into the upper 40s in cold weather.

Good luck with the new fish

~Michael

WOW. It is crazy how much my dussumieri doesnt like the cleaner wrasse. I've never seen a fish be this aggressive. The cleaner wrasse is hanging out by a Koralia and a corner of the tank so the dussu cant get in there, but he is really trying. He is chomping at the wrasse but he cant quite catch it.

He would kill it if he could. I really hope this behavior settles down in a day or two, otherwise I'm either going to get rid of my dussumieri or I'll never add aother fish again.

Here is the other picture I took of the regal which shows his other side.

Definitely a pretty fish, I really hope I can get him eating quickly and keep him healthy. Both of the new angels came in nice and fat and look good, so I'm going to keep them that way! As long as the really cold shipping water didnt jack them up.

cupramine in fowlr. recty have you ever tried using red sea test kits for copper? the site states they are the same. i've did the 2 doses it requires but the test kit reads near .1 How fast does live rock absorb the treatment.

Sorry to hear about your queen, don't know what could cause that, they are hardy fish. Mine rules my tank and is tough as nails. So your adding more angels!? What is your count up to now? 6 large angels and 4 dwarfs in a 6ft 210g? Geez! Packed! Hope they all get along! Definitely time to move and get that upgrade you've been talking about! Keep us posted on the queen and the newbies.

Right now in the 210 I have 4 angels and 5 dwarf angels.

The sump holds the regal and personifer, they won't be going in the display for quite some time.

In case anyone wants to know what cuprisorb looks like after it's been sitting in a tank absorbing copper...

Here is the new wrasse, he is going good. The dussu is relenting a little.

And then the cleaner wrasse is like every other wrasse I've ordered... he was swimming around great and looking fine from the first second.

Really?? Wrasses have always hated bags ime... I thought it was a wrasse thing, but maybe it's just something with my wrasses. D:

That's really weird about the queen... Super glad to hear she's doing better though! The regal is fantastic- Can't wait to see it and the mini meredithi grow! The meredithi is going to be beautiful when it's older. I love those fish.

Yeah, I've always had wrasses come in healthy, I've only ordered 3 or 4 but they've all been real good shippers.

The queen is doing good but not out of the woods yet.

The personifer is dead. I kind of had a feeling he wouldnt survive, he wasnt doing good in the acclimation bucket, he kept swimming down into the bottom slowly like he was stunned. The water was too cold, I think, sitting for who knows how many hours in 60 degree water was too much for the little dude.

The regal is doing real good though, active and happy. Not eating yet but still real conscious of what is going on, I have high hopes that I can get him eating. The wrasse is doing good too.

What scribbled is dead? The original one from a while back or was there a new one?
Ooops, sorry, I edited it just now to say personifer, I keep calling it a scribbled.

I dont know why I do that, they look very similar in body shape I guess.

I just noticed the regal is an indo? Sorry about the meredithi, I'm shocked he didn't make it and the regal did, would have thought the opposite.

That's what I like about the Cuprisorb-it will keep turning green well after the test kit can detect copper, so you know when it is really all gone.

Have you regenerated it yet?
