Some of you all might recognize my "new" tank

Used to be someone named Thor's tank.

36x36x24 cube.

I am using about 125 pounds of Marco rocks in it. Building an 8 bulb t5ho fixture.

Eshopps R-200 sump, mag 12 return, couple koralia powerheads, asm g1x skimmer.

Cleared up nicely. One issue I am having is surface skimming. Have a film on top of water where return and powerheads don't agitate. I Can't lower the durso down anymore, it hits the return bulkhead, so there isn't a waterfall effect at all.

if I'm understanding correctly the surface of the tank is skimming into the overflow. If so slow down your return with a valve until it starts to skim.

I was able to trim standpipe down a 1/4", skims nicely down the overflow now.

Wow. Love the tank. I just lost my 24x24x24 cube... cracked bottom during a move. Where did you get the tank? I may be able to talk the wife into that size.

I too love the dimensions of that tank. I currently have a 24x24x24 and really love the cube look.

I hope you keep posting pics as you add livestock.
