some questions about weir and drain

after using the RC overflow calculator is said that for 2500gph it should be about 38 inches. and the pipe would be about 2 inch.

Does 38 include the sides of the weir ? or its just the lenght of the wier? if not what should the width be?

the pipe diameter calculator refers to all the pipes diameters that will ammount to that?

I was refering to an internal overflow box with a drilled tank. I am going to use 2 internal overflow boxes one at the center and one at a side. I dont know if 38 inches is refering to the lenght of the weir and including the sides (if there are any) or just the lenght.
