I read that you run your lights 12 hours a day, but do you go through a dusk/dawn cycle? If so, how many bulbs are on durring this cycle, and how long are the durations of the dusk/dawn periods. Thank you!

Sorry to bother you. Just 1 long question. You & Lunar both talked alot about equipment not being as important as commitment to the tank. Could you please elaborate more on these quotes? "The finall results depend on an aquarist's work & engagement", "Your skills in in maintaining the tank as well as good observation are what truly make the aquarium", "Making the decision to run a high-end tank, we have to be fully conscious of the never ending work & observations that follow". Basically, my question is this: how do the Europeans maintain there tanks? Is it like the Americans (simple), such as water changes, CA additions, bulb & chem media replacement, ect. or do you guys have more advanced techniques now, since Europe is always 1 step ahead of us in reef aquariums?

Justin - photoperiods are quite really not important. I have actinics on about 20 min before and after main lighting, but my friends have different with good results.

happyclam - I thing the point is that Europe is origin of best equipment and suplement firms. Aquarist tests more new things and they share conclusions whit each other. Maintance is simmilar like Yours, but sometimes "tips and tricks" are really helpfull.
