Ok I’ll start of by saying I’m deathly afraid of spiders but I have always thought they look pretty neat so I came up with this idea that if I take pics of them I can look at them without having to be close to them................well i forgot that i actually have to be close to them to take the pics (crappy cam can't zoom on macro lol) Well here are a couple pics i have taken.

This one was the first pic i took of a spider and defiantly the most horrifying. Right after i snapped this pic the basterd JUMPED on me!!!! Well needless to say my camera went flying onto the pavement and somehow it managed to survive :D Home you like :eek1:

I have some more but they didn't turn out as good
(mostly because they were big and i refused to get close enough to get a god shot lmao)

yeah i found one of thoes, but that was one of the pics that turned out really blurry because i wouldn't get close to it lol

Eeek! Your a much braver woman than I. After the first one jumped on me it would have been over. :lmao:

lol- I think spiders [and your spider shots] are awesome... if I lived in Florida you'd see tons of spider pics in my gallery :p

thanks for the compliments guys!! I really wish that i had a better camera so i could somehow get even closer pics. Thoes pics were the closest that i could get with my camera. My camera has an auto focus thing to so it's impossible to get good shots of most spiders because the camera trys focusing on the background (like a screen) I took a pic of a spider eating a fly but it didn't turn out that good because of that reason.

Spiders fascinate me too. I got a really nice macro lens for my Canon Digital Rebel. It's 1-5x magnification. This is one of my earlier experiments with it, but it turned out ok:

These last two were taken with my 100mm macro (couldn't get the angle I wanted on the second):

o wow thoes are some neat pics. I really like islandcow's last pic, very creepy lol The camera i have is a 2yo fujifilm finepix nd to get the shots i really need i guess i will have to upgrade. I really like the tarantulas too, for some reason i'm not freaked out by them though, it's the small skinny leg ones that really freak me out lol I actually want to get one but my hubby wont let me lmao I like the Gooty Saphire Ornamentals they are soo pretty but they are expensive, if i was to gt one it would hav to be one of thoes :D

Wow, awesome tarantula pics, Chelsey! I especially love that second one. Those colors are wild! And rather nicely coordinated for that matter. . .
