I thought about not posting these because they just don't look like my corals, but they were the best I could do. Pictrue these corals but much brigher ... the red lord in particular just dosn't compare to the picture.

Beautiful micros. That one from Darklord corals is awesome. How big are the Duncans, and are they easy to keep for you? I would love to try one someday, but have never seen one in person.

My strain seems to be much larger than most ... It may be the ORA strain, but I am not positive. The polyps are about an inch of face with one inch "whiskers" so the polyps are almost 3" accross fully extended, but usually about 2.25" accross. Mine is sticky as all heck and loves meaty food. I say go for it.

Depends on the "thing" you are talking about and the conditions of your tank ... I have found micros to be very fast growers in my tank (once they settle in) and lords to grow fairly quickly. I have only had the Duncan for 3 weeks and have seen no growth, but hopefully that will change soon as folks say it is a fast grower.

Point well taken. I was asking about the lords and micros. What kind of growth/expansion of tissue in cm can you expect for the lords and micros? Also what kind of polyp addition can you expect over say 6 months under favorable conditions? Thanks

gosh, I don't know ... I think it is very differant for each lord. I have seen people who have had the same two polyps for 2 years with nothing and then all of a suddent 5 or 6 more pop up seemingly overnight. They seem to grow in rings. Maybe a new ring every 3 - 4 months or so?

jendub would be the expert here.

no expert but experience;)

The growth of lords and micros varies. In lords, have some that grow at least 2-4 polyps a month and then I have one lord that has had one polyp for the last year. In micros, I find they grow better then lords (if cared for properly). I also find that micros do not need as much attention as lords but this is all my experience, it really depends on the owner.

ciao,
Jen=)
