Most are straight out of the camera others I cropped and darkened a little.

Just takes practice and more practice and a good tripod

I have a Rebel XT with a macro lens however my pictures are not even in the same league as yours. I think I will try to turn off the pumps next time. I also use a tripod. Tripods and a good macro lens are the key.
