F fishy332003 New member Mar 11, 2008 #2 yeah, that's too much for a 1.5" maxima clam.even though it's a beauty.
a4twenty Premium Member Mar 11, 2008 #3 horrible picture, can't really see what they are paying for ????

O orchidsnfish New member Mar 12, 2008 #9 I think that auction has turned into a pee pee contest more than anything else. Insane...Wish that was my clam!

ViPeR_930 Active member Mar 12, 2008 #10 I bet it's going to be a nonpaying bidder. Either that or someone has some serious money they don't want.

H hagakure New member Mar 12, 2008 #14 i know the listing says maxima, but the shell is more crocea-like. to bad there's no side shot. definitely isn't black and white maxima class, either.

skinz78 In Memoriam Mar 12, 2008 #15 Here is a great thread that mbbuna did on clam id clam id I can see the scutes on the side of the shell, that is a clear indicator that it is a maxima to me. You have to remember it is a very small clam at 1" And I would estimate that since it is so small and it is a maxima that it has a 50/50 chance of survival through shipping and acclimation.
