my friend lent me his dslr which he hasn't picked up in forever and he's far away so he won't be picking up soon so i decided to use it to record my tank and its ventures.
i dont know squat about dslr cameras or all these confusing setting. I dont know anything about point and shoot cameras other than flash, shoot button, sephia mode, and some other features that come with the smaller digital cameras. Not even sure what the diff between auto and manual is :lmao:
I have a Nikon D70 w/ an 18-55 mm lens (no other lens on hand). It has a whole bunch of buttons, dials, and markers. All i know so far is "auto", "night mode" and "sunshine mode".
What's an 18-55mm lens good for? What's the best way to take a shot of my tank? I'm guessing flash off, ambient light off? The light from the tank tends to flood the picture however.. I ask because i take pictures of my tank and even with the infamous "dslr" it comes out to look like crap. nothing like some photos on this board.
any tips appreciated.
