someone help!!!

i have a sand anemone that im trying to remove because im going to transfer it to another tank

heres the problem
when i tried to remove it from the sand i realized that the foot of it went all the down into the sand and attached to the bottom of the tank
how do i get the foot to unattach itself so i can remove it from the sand

heres a pic of one but not mines cause i dont have any pics right now

i dont think this one is the same type as mines but look close enough

someone help me take this thing out
 
You could try clearing the sand around the foot and trying to wedge your thumbnail underneath the foot...be very careful not to tear the flesh of the foot!

A lot of people have had success with aiming a powerhead at the foot, or using ice cubes to get it to release.

will this cause to let go and be easy to pick up or will this just cause it to "walk" somewhere else?
