Alright so usually my mantis sits in his cave and will come out here and there to watch me in my room. Well recently Roach has been hiding in his cave and he doesn't seem to have an appetite. I put a ghost shrimp in there yesterday and usually when I do that, it's gone within seconds. I looked in my tank today and the ghost is just swimming around, going into his cave and what not. Now I noticed 3 days ago what seems to be Roach's smasher laying on the sand. I fished it out and it sure looked like it. So today I went to observe him and I noticed what looks like shedding of his tail. I'm thinking he is molting, so I put in a little bit of calcium to possibly assist him in the process. What do you all think? I really hope he's alright because even though my sisters consider him to be the ungliest thing they have ever seen, I have grown quite attached to the fella.
