Do you have any first hand experience with this products or the competitive product which Drsfostersmith also sells "Marine-Max"

Any info from experiences would be appreciated. I am thinking about dosing one of these to the tank just as a prophylactic measure before I purchase a bunch of fish from liveaquaria....after my main tank stays fallow for 8-weeks. I hope they are TRULY reef safe. Thanks.

Both the Marine-Max and the Probiotic Marine Formula are designed to be used as a preventative measure. In order to prevent introducing parasites or diseases to a display tank, we recommend that all new arrivals be placed in a quarantine tank for 2-4 weeks depending on the specimen. During that time, hobbyists often treat for parasites with a Copper Sulfate treatment for 14-21 days, and only treat for bacterial infections if there are obvious symptoms (ragged fins, red spots, etc.).
