Something eating zoanthids?

I downgraded about 3 months ago and transferred my coral and LR to my new tank. I had a few zoanthids frags that seemed to be fine, and then slowly started disappearing. I just added a single polyp two days ago, and the skirt is gone. This only happens at night. I check the tank at night, and then again in the morning and some have disappeared. Could something be eating them. Live stock consists of two perculas, lawnmower blenny, yellow watchmen goby, some scarlet hermits and snails. I have tested tank parameters and all is fine. Other coral are all doing well. Thanks for the help.

watch at night for large Ampipods munching on them. wait till the lights are off late night then use a red light to view them " red light allows you to see them while not spooking them.

Thanks for the help, but I don't have a red light. Is there any other way of knowing what could be the problem.

I am not an expert but have had some experience with zoas slowely vanishing. I have seen those little five toed hitchhiker starfish eat them. It was hard to see them because it just looks like the palyp is closed but the starfish sits on it like a cap. The other that I have heard is a small slug type animal that eats them. There is a fish that eats the slugs. It is a yellow wrasse and I forget the name.

Like I said I am not an expert but hopefully this can help.

There is also one other thing that I have seen. A small zebra striped snail looking animal that bores a little hole in the base of the polyp. The ones that I have seen do this make the polyp look like a deflated balloon.

Thanks for the replies. I decided to do a freshwater dip. As I inspected the zoas I noticed some small snails. They are too small to tell if they are sundials. I am pretty confident that something was eating them so I am guessing they are sundial snails. I removed them, and I'm going to watch closely for the next couple days.
