Something in the air?

In Memoriam
So on Saturday at the Frag Swap I ran into Garth (Oh_billy) in the retail center, and we were chatting about clownfish breeding. I told him they hadn't spawned since we moved them (nearly a month ago).

Woke up Sunday to a big nest of clown eggs. :)

Steve (LostDragon) came to pick up his frags from John on Saturday night, and we chatted a bit about our RBTAs. He was telling me how his had split, and I said mine haven't yet.

Noticed yesterday that I now have four instead of three RBTAs. :D

Was just up at Fish Unlimited talking to the guys there, talking about Banggai cardinals, telling them how I've bred them in the past but my current two whom I think are a pair (since they haven't killed each other yet) seem to be taking their sweet time.

Got home tonight to (you guessed it!) a mouthful of Banggai eggs.

So, for those of who have been asking, no, I haven't struck oil or found a large vein of gold in the bakyard yet...but soon.

what luck I have been getting a little more color from my corals already from installing the lights a few days back
but lets see some pics here

It's Macarana cool (I'm guessing you saw the movie RV lol)

As far as the rics I have a theory that maybe they split more in higher temps cuz mine seem to split more in summer when my tanks get warmer.

My clowns spawned 3 times and now stopped. Possibly cuz the coral on their rock was growing over it so I removed some today.
My anemone also wandered so dunno if thats why or maybe they were tired lol.

Very nice picts of the eggs. I wish I had macro that close.

Congrats Fred! Looks like you better get a snagger... Or can you pull the nest??? Thats awsome about the bangaii pair holding and the RBTA splitting :) Looks like you will have plenty to do.

Yesterday I removed some of the coral on the rock the clowns were spawning on and today they have eggs again.
I might be able to put a tile or something over that rock and see if they'd spawn on it.

The clowns lay on their clamshell, so I can remove it, but it's terrible for keeping good water flow over it. I'll likely turn the lights out early that night and collect them with a dish and a light.

Very cool Fred, I have a baby snagger I copied from someone here it works really good and easy to make if you don't already know of it I could tell you how it works. I went from catching maybe 75 to 200 at least with it. Those look pretty close to hatching I did a pic thing of my eggs once its kind of cool.

Awesome news Fred, you should maybe buy some lottery tickets with this streak of good fortune!
Keep us updated on your progress.
