My buddies clown fish had something attach or grow to its lip over night.. Here is a pic, sorry for the quality... Any ideas, or suggestions?? Should he try to remove it??

It is hard to make it out. It looks like a tendril of something. How long has it had it there? Just overnight?

I would post this pic in the clown and anemone forum. I have never seen this before, but the picture is hard to make out. Can you get a closer shot

picture doesnt help. but is its till there. is it a brittle worm thorn? strange as i cant make out the item on its mouth. does it look like white flesh? or another color ? also is it anemone tissue? what about a parasite? again a better pic will help. if its gone now forget about it and move on especially if clown is happy and well.

Thanks guys..

We just got back from hockey, and my buddy messaged me saying it seems to have dissapeared.. So thats good.. Maybe it was a worm or something... I guess we will keep an eye on it, and if it comes back, we will try and get a better picture..

Guess it wasn't a growth since it appeared over night, and dissapeared later in the day..
