Something wrong with my monti cap

Over the last few days, my monti cap frag has been getting a spot on it, and it is growing. It seems to be from where the superglue is at. I can't tell if that's coraline which i doubt, or something on it. Anyone have an idea what it is, and what i should do?

Hey Dugg,

Looks like there is a little bit of red algae on the frag, rub it off, place in a higehr water flow and move closer to the light.

Or, and this works well. Run a bead of superglue gel along the edge of recession.

It sits almost centered between 2 sieo 620's, and is maybe 5 inches below the surface 15 inches from the bulb total. I don't have any algae issues in my display, coraline only. I barely even get algae on my front glass anymore. I rubbed the stuff off, and repositioned some. I'll try the superglue later.

HEY doug ive seen people that have used super glue to a monti cap an it left a lil white spot.. no worries tho.. is will become smaller over time....

The superglue seems to have worked so far. The monti looks good everywhere but that spot, and doesn't seem stressed. I am keeping a close eye on it though. If i see anything else at all with it, i think i will frag the piece sticking up and move it away from the affected section. I'm not sure what happened to cause the spot to start with. The frag was doing fine until this happened. That spot came up over 2 days time.
