Great looking tank Sonny!

How do you keep the display looking so clear?
I can't see a trace of micro-bubbles or cloudiness!

Thank you. To keep the tank clear I run a large skimmer and Carbon. I have no micro bubbles because of the small return pump I use, the Ehiem 1260.

Sunny you should consider getting a vortech. With the clean look of your tank, it would be awesome to not have cords coming over the top, and they do a incredible job moving water around.

The battery backup that will run 1 @50% for 36 hours is a real nice insurance policy too.

Yea, from what I heard they are nice pumps. I hid two tunzes so far but still need to hide the other 3. The fifth tunze is at getting repaired at Tunze so as soon as that gets back to me I will hide the rest of the pumps.

The tank still needs alot of cosmetic work on the stand and pumps but its getting there.

The battery backup is great on the system but I purchased a generator back when we had the big black out a few years ago.

Wow... no ozone either!

Nope, im trying to keep the system as simple as possible . :D

Ahh i see....

Yeah, i have a hige generator in the event of power loss, but if im not home im SOL. So atleast with the vortech, it kicks in automatically and will keep things alive for a day and a half...

I think with a profilux and the right tunze's you can use a battery backup that kicks on auto too, but i dont know anymore details than that.

I havent had a chance to even unpack let alone setup to profilux yet...

there are ways to battery backup a tunze nano i am not sure how but i saw some guy in his build thread had one hooked up to a car battery that was charged constantly when the power was on and when it went out it powered the nano for like 2 days.

anybody know what im talking about??

Hello, tank has only a sump, no fuge.

Hey Sonny, The new set up is looking great already. Wonderful Job with your aquascape.
Quick question for you: Where did you originally get your purple monster from?
I'm buying a frag from someone on MR who originally bought theirs from you, so I wanted to trace back some more lineage on it.
Thanks!

As far as battery backups, I run my 6055's into a regular APC 900 and get a good hour with both pumps running.

I picked up some Acans today. :D Very nice reds and greens.

Ill post some pics of those also tonight.

Man you are lucky!

I will be so glad when I get all my credit cards paid off ( in other words the stuff I have already bought for my aquarium:) ) so I can get my tank back into shape and get some new corals and fish.

Being poor sucks.

Well if its any consolation I got the Acans dirt cheap, less than $10 a polyp for some awesome pieces. :D
