This is a camera im really thinking of picking up from best buy, it has the closest macro focus setting of all the cameras iv looked at.. its also 7.2 MP.... anyone ever heard of it or think it will be good enough to take some decent pics?
It's closest shots are when the lens is zoomed out to it's widest position- then you can get as close as 2cm to your subject. At that distance it will photograph a scene about 1.5" wide. So yeah, that is good
My old Nikon 5700 used to focus at a minimal distance of 3 cm however macro mode would engage from a bit after W till a bit before maximum tele. it was an 11xzoom so that was much better I guess. however it was to slow to focus and shutter lag was a killer on it.
