Sore on Flame Angel

I've treated a few diseases, but this is something I have never seen. Looks like a body sore of some type

This flame is still doing fine despite this sore on his body. Eating fine and is currently in quarantine.

Current Treatment: Did 7 days of Prazi Pro, now I am doing Maracyn-Oxy.

Anyone else see this before and how did you treat it?

White spots are on the container, not the angel.

He was in quarantine with a similar sized Chevron Tang. The Chevron is slightly smaller but was slightly aggresive towards the flame. So maybe the chevron got him with his tail?

It looks like a festering wound!! Not joking maybe you can catch it and get a drop of iodine on it.

I thought about doing that. But I have been waiting to see if it heals on it's own. I fear that catching and stressing the fish might cause his iummune system to weaken just enough to cause the wound/infection to kill him.
If it doesn't clear in another week, then I might resort to that.

His breathing seem to increased slightly today, but he still has a great appetite and is not lethargic. Could be do to less oygen in the water due to medication.

Hi there, it can be vibrio. Angels especially regal and flame angels are very open to this bacteria. There are some variations of vibrio some kill suddenly some type slowly. Hope you recover this beautiful creature.

Yes, it looks precisely like the pictures I have seen of vibro.
If it is that you need to treat him with antibiotics to save him.
Recommended are nifurpirinol, sulfonamide, kanamycin or streptomycin.

Thanks for the thoughts everyone. Unfortunately I lost him monday night, Bummer, did my best to treat him.

thanks for the help.

Bacterial for sure. If you can catch him dab with a Qtip some tee tree oil on it. It will turn white don't be alarmed by that but will heal quickly.
