so i just siphoned near my RBTA and it sucked on one of its tentacles and it broke it, the anemone immediately shriveled up, i think ive done this before but not recently.

anemone will be okay correct?

Yes. I had one go through an overflow strainer. Went in as one and came out as eight. Six of those pieces made it.

I expect that your anemone should be fine.

I had a GBTA get owned by a powerhead. Was sucked into it and got mutilated pretty bad. I didn't know what to do so I just shut the powerhead off. Came in the next morning and it had removed itself and was back on its rock. A day or so later it looked fine and we still have it a couple years later.

I tore pretty deeply into the foot of an anemone that I tried to move and it recovered nicely. They can be surprisingly resilient.

Yeah, it should be fine. I've had them lose tentacles before.

+1< but to piggy-back on these comments, I do believe it's very important to remove any necrotic tissue...especially if it's in a smaller system. Fresh carbon maybe as well.
