Spaghetti Leather dying?(pics)

I bought this leather about 1 week ago, acclimated it properly, and it was doing well enough for a couple days. It slowly started leaning over the last few days. Tonight I noticed it melting on the side, and I when I move the rock its on, one of its "fingers" fell off and a bunch of white particles floated off. What is it doing, and how do I help it if it is dying? The only corals remotely near it are a few zoanthids on a frag disc.

My water- tank is 9 months old
sg-1.025
ph-8.17
amm,trite,trate,phosphate-all 0
alk7.8
calc 425

Thanks,

Place in optimal conditions, md. flow, md-high light and dip the coral in an iodine based dip. There are several manufactured brands, I believe Seachem makes one and also Kent marine has a product. It will help halt the necrosis tremendously.
Good luck!
