Spaghetti worm??

Ok so I've had a zoa for a while now. It's not fully opening. There seem to be white stringy strands growing on the rock the zoa was attached too. I took the rock out and tried scraping the white stuff off. They seem to be hard like tubes of some kind. Now the pictures of spaghetti worms do look like what i'm seeing but do they secrete hard tubes? If this spaghetti worm is inside the rock how would I get it out without knowning where the exact mouth was? Any help would be great.

It sounds more like you have vermetids on your zoas. There are some pics here: http://www.zoaid.com/index.php?module=Gallery2&g2_itemId=384

I think a dip might get rid of them.

The arms are hard and white but are more wavy then the vermetid snail pics. I Have seen a couple strands of the vermetid snails near another coral but not on the zoas. Also What would you suggest for a dip?
