I found a 20 long I used as a QT a couple years ago in my garage. As soon as i saw it I thought it would make a great nano reef. I thought this would be a cool project that I could get up and running with spare parts around my house.
I've also got an aquatic life T5HO 2x39 watt 36" fixture that was in use on a planted 29. The quality is not bad for what I paid. the reflectors aren't truly individual. Its a single piece that is bent around each bulb. I think its a significant step up from a true single reflector T5. I wish I still had my PAR meter so I could see if it made any difference.
Anyways how do you think a 78 watts T5HO will work on a 20 long? The fixture overhangs slightly, but the bulb covers the tank end to end which is nice. I will probably keep softies, LPS and a few hardy SPS.
