New to reef central.I have an old 55gal I want to set up for my son.Question I have is With a deep L/S and L/R base and CPR
Bak Pak2 bio filter does this sound like it could work.Will start
him with fish only.Any thoughts

I would say go with the LR, LS and the BakPak and you are off to a good start with a small F.O. tank. The important thing to remember is that it is a small tank and can only keep a limited number of smaller fish. Choose wisely after research on what to stock.

Sounds fine to me. However, unless your familiar with how to maintain a DSB I would stick with a shallow sand bed.
