Just doing a little browsing in another local club's forum and stumbled across an interesting idea. They keep a list of members who have some spare equipment in reserve such as small to medium tanks, pumps, heaters. They try to ensure that they have a backup available to any member who hits an emergency when the LFSs are all closed.
People in this group have been great about offering help when asked but I'm curious if others would be willing to contribute a listing of equipment that you might have in reserve that somebody could contact you for in an emergency? (Be sure to include your rough location (city or town) if it isn't in your displayed profile.)
I should have done a quick inventory before posting this, but it's late...I'll try to get mine posted in the next day or two. For starters I currently have a 50 gal sitting empty. I keep a 29g Q.T. up and running all the time (occupied at the moment, but will be empty soon). I also have a Magnum cannister filter. I have a bunch of old power heads, small pumps and heaters but I don't remember which work and which don't.
If there is enough response to justify it, this might be something we could move from a thread onto the website someday...
