Spawning help??????

Very possibly could've been spawning. That looks like a very happy colony :D

I couldn't see anything in the pic, try loading a larger one if possible. You can host a video on photobucket or something similar for free, or even link a youtube video.
 
Awesome video doorlady! Definately looks like a spawning event to me. If it was expelling waste it would be much more solid/thick IME with these corals. You have a beautiful specimen...thanks for sharing that with us!
 
Thanks rowjimmy, Do you think I could possibly find new growth somewhere else in the tank from this? That would be sooooooooo cool.
 
Yep, that's a money shot!

Potentially you could find some little babies sprouting somewhere in the tank, but unfortunately many times eveything is lost by our filtration systems (skimming, filter socks, etc.) or eaten by the other corals. Regardless it show it's very happy, and will likely do it again over time.
 
This thing was spawning again yesterday. I think I found a couple of babies but can not be sure, I tried to get a picture of them but failed, they are tucked on the side of rock and my camera just won't focus when I zoom in on them.

ok! That's it. Big Girl you have way too much time on your hands to catch it not once, but twice in as many weeks with the video camera.
 
Bill and I just happen to walk over to the tank and there it was spawning again, I keep the camera right next to the tank.
