Spawning

HI,
How can you tell if you have a female and male clownfish,also how do you know if and when there spawning,also is there certain perimeters to follow to get them to spawn,thanks.:smokin:
 
Generally, the female clown will be significantly larger and clearly the dominant of the two. If you maintain proper water conditions and feed regularly, it is likely your clowns will spawn. I think that having a 10 -12 hour photoperiod could also be an important variable. Some species are easier to spawn in captivity than others. I have a tank-bred ocellaris pair that spawn often. I think tank-bred clowns may be easier to induce to spawn.
 
thank you for the info-hopefully they will spawn some day I do have a pair then female is larger and she seems more aggressive

I had three then these 2 paired off sadly other one died had them all for over a year when they were babies. thanks again
